Huawei Builds Optical-Layer ASON Network for VietNam’s VNPT Huawei Technologies has deployed an optical-layer Automatic Switch Optical Network (ASON) network for Vietnam Post and Telecommunication Group (VNPT), covering Hanoi and the northern provinces. Financial terms were not disclosed.

TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) Acquires LBS-Provider LocationLogic For $25 Million (paidContent.org via Yahoo! Finance)

Wireless technology provider TeleCommunication Systems has acquired the assets LocationLogic, a privately-held location based services technology provider, for $25 million—$15 in cash, and $10 million, or approximately 1.4 million shares of TCS Class A common stock, from private equity investors Hale Capital Partners and Hale Global.

GREEN Packet Bhd ( 0082 ), a company that develops telecommunication solutions and offers wireless broadband services, said its first-quarter net loss widened more than sevenfold despite higher revenue, due to the cost of rolling out its wireless broadband services.

Wireless communications technology provider TeleCommunication Systems, TCS, has paid $25m to acquire location-based services provider LocationLogic, which was earlier this year acquired by private equity investors Hale Capital Partners and Hale Global from Autodesk.
