The Ipoh City Council has asked the Perak Integrated Network to discuss with telecommunication companies to put up transmission towers that can be shared among them to reduce the number of such structures.

Madrid - The Spanish government Friday approved draft legislation to ban advertising on the public broadcaster RTVE. RTVE would continue receiving state subsidies, and the rest would be financed by commercial television stations and telecommunication…

G S Sanyal telecom school identifies new research areas for Vodafone (Business Standard India)

G S Sanyal School of Telecommunications, IIT Kharagpur, which recently partnered with Vodafone to set up Vodafone Essar-IIT Center of Excellence in Telecommunication, on institute campus, has received Rs 12 crore from the company for five years to carry out research projects of relevance to Vodafone.

ISLAMABAD (May 30 2009): The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is likely to reduce federal excise duty (FED) on telecommunication services from 21 percent to 16 percent in the 2009-10 budget.
